David is currently resident keyboard player for LIVE. The band is one of the UK’s most successful, covering a huge selection of live music from big band to commercial music. As a result he is often called upon to perform many different and challenging types of music. He acts as Vocal Coach for LIVE and also forms part of the various jazz ensembles that perform independently of the main band. LIVE performs around the world and has many celebrity endorsers, frequently supporting artists from the stage and screen, most recently Shaun Williamson, David Essex and Kym Marsh.

David has been fortunate enough to prepare backing vocalists for Tony-Hatch; to act as musical director for shows featuring artists such as Darren Day; to perform jazz-fusion gigs with outstanding musicians including John Wheatcroft of Guitar-X and to work with other high profile musicians such as Iris Williams, X-Factor's Lucie Jones and Ian Matthews of Kasabian.

Whilst maintaining this hectic schedule of professional practice, David completed a MA in Performance at the University of Salford specialising in jazz and popular piano, a PGCert in Learning and Teaching at the University of Chester and he is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

David is a committed teacher having held a lecturing post at the University of Chester and a Head of Music position at the Academy Musical Theatre Wales.
